Zixel is a trading name of Cloud Web Solutions Ltd.

When placing an order online with Zixel you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. Zixel reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

Domain Names

Domain Ownership: Any new domain names registered will be under the ownership and control of Zixel. Customers may request ownership and transfer of domains free of charge at any time.

Domain Renewals: All domain renewals are included in your monthly subscription unless agreed otherwise.

Liability: Zixel accepts no liability for loss of profit or downtime caused by expiration of domain names or other third-party registrar issues.

Delivery

Payments: All new pay-monthly websites require the first Stripe payment upon signup before work can begin.

Content Requirements: Zixel requires textual content from the customer. Images may also be supplied by the customer. Stock images may be provided at our discretion. All supplied text and images must be free of copyright restrictions. Zixel accepts no responsibility for copyright infringement arising from customer-provided content.

Timeframes: The expected completion timeframe for most websites is 10–20 days. Delays in content may affect timescales.

Refusal of Material: Zixel reserves the right to refuse any material deemed offensive, illegal, or controversial.

On-going Service

Included Services: Hosting, technical maintenance, software updates and general upkeep are included with all monthly website plans.

Service Disruption: Zixel will take reasonable measures to prevent service disruption but cannot accept liability for issues outside of our control.

Content Updates: Basic amendments (text, images, contact details) are included under fair usage. Excessive requests may result in a pricing review. Requests beyond basic amendments (new pages, re-designs, functionality) will be quoted as additional services.

Customer-Caused Faults: If faults occur due to customer-made edits, Zixel may charge for rectification based on standard agency rates.

Unlimited Updates: All pay-monthly websites include unlimited content updates subject to fair use.

Contract Duration / Cancellation

Rolling Contract: All website packages operate on a rolling 30-day contract.

Cancellation Process: Requests must be emailed to hello@zixel.co.uk. Subscription payments and services will be terminated upon cancellation.

Failed Payments: If payment fails and remains unpaid for 7 days, services may be suspended or terminated unless otherwise agreed.

Account Termination: Upon cancellation, your website will be removed from our servers. Backups may be kept for up to 12 months for potential reactivation.

Moving Away / Term Length

Platform Restriction: Websites cannot be moved away from our proprietary CMS system. HTML exports or migration to external platforms are not available.

Design Refresh: After 24 months of continuous service, you may be eligible for a complimentary or discounted design refresh at Zixel’s discretion.

Search Engine Optimisation

Ethical Practices: Zixel uses ethical optimisation techniques and is not responsible for SEO issues caused by third-party providers or software.

No Guarantees: As search engines are outside our control, Zixel cannot guarantee rankings, traffic or specific results.

Contract: SEO services run on a rolling monthly basis.

Cancellation: Requests must be emailed to hello@zixel.co.uk. Cancelling SEO services halts all ongoing optimisation work, though completed work will remain active on your site.

Charges & Payments

Payment Method: All subscription payments are taken via Stripe card payment subscriptions.

Alternative Payments: Other payment methods may be accepted at Zixel’s discretion and may incur additional fees.

Non-Payment: If payment is not received on time Zixel may suspend all services. If an account remains overdue for two consecutive months, a £50 late fee will be added to the outstanding balance.

Refund Policy

30-Day Refund: If you cancel within the first 30 days of signup, you may request a full refund by emailing hello@zixel.co.uk.

Governing Law

This contract is governed exclusively by the laws of the United Kingdom.

General Terms & Conditions for Using Our Website

1. This website is owned and operated by Cloud Web Solutions Ltd trading as Zixel.

2. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

3. You agree to use the website lawfully and without infringing the rights of others.

4. Zixel products and services accessed through the website may have additional terms which will be presented at the time of ordering.

5. This website and its content are provided “as is” without warranties. Zixel is not liable for any damages arising from its use.

6. Commercial use of website content is prohibited without prior permission.

7. Personal use of downloadable documents is permitted unless otherwise stated.

8. Zixel is not responsible for content on external websites linked from this site.

9. Communications sent via public areas of the website are treated as non-confidential.

10. Specific terms on individual pages may override these general terms where applicable.

11. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
